Around 1982 they went their separate ways. Darren played in a short lived cover band with his brothers, and later joined an original band that recorded an EP. Then there was a break of about 23 years before he caught up with Paul again and they formed The Dead Pharaohs.

After arriving in Australia he met Paul while studying music production at SAE college. The pair formed a musical bond and in 2013 along with Darren, formed The Dead Pharaohs. Max brings the writing and guitar sounds of the UK  to the Pharaohs that helps create our unique sound.
